The Vegetable Hunter made their name as a superb plant-based café in Harrisburg. They freely get creative and experiment with high-quality Pennsylvania ingredients. Urban Churn
“Who wants ice cream?” Silly question - we all want ice cream! Especially when both traditional and one-of-a-kind “I-can’t-believe-that’s-an-ice-cream-flavor-but-oh-my- it’s-good!” flavors are created from locally sourced fresh ingredients. Urban Churn makes ice cream through the traditional method of freezing ice and salt in hand-built Amish churns. This stop on our trail is at least two scoops of fantastic!

Zimmerman's Nuts & Candies
Because old-fashioned never gets old. Step back in time to the candy counter and browse the store’s shelves for your favorite (and sometimes hard-to-find) candies from your youth. Candy and sweets bring generations together, especially in a place like Zimmerman’s! In 1915, John S. Zimmerman began selling candy and homemade peanut butter in his new general store near Harrisburg. Guests should be thrilled that the family tradition lives on for new generations to enjoy.
